- Which VDR and CCTV makers do you cover for annual testing?
- Furuno VR-7000 and VR-3000, JRC JCY-1900 and JCY-1800, Danelec DM100 S-VDR and DM200 VDR, plus Headway and Rutter on retrofits. CCTV side we service Bosch Dinion and Flexidome, Axis fixed and PTZ, with Milestone XProtect and Bosch DIVAR NVRs sized for the IMO 12-hour bridge plus 30-day ER retention typically demanded by operators. We download annual VDR samples and replay with the OEM playback software for completeness verification.
- How long does the VDR Annual Performance Test (APT) take alongside?
- A full IMO Res. MSC.333(90) APT runs five to seven hours: data integrity check on the fixed and float capsules, microphone audibility on the bridge wings and ECR, NMEA sentence inventory against IEC 61162, radar image capture verification, alarm and date/time stamp checks, and battery back-up endurance verified for two hours. We end with a downloadable APT certificate uploaded to the operator's fleet system within twenty-four hours of leaving the vessel.
- Is the APT certificate accepted by class without a separate surveyor visit?
- Yes. Levent Marine is an independent service provider; the APT certificate we issue carries the OEM software version, capsule serial numbers, microphone calibration trace and is in the format DNV, BV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, ClassNK, RINA, TL and IRS accept toward the Safety Equipment Certificate VDR item without a separate class attendance. The certificate is valid for twelve months from the test date and is auto-mailed to the operator and the flag administration on completion.
