FAQ

Common questions for this system.

Which AMS / IAS platforms do we service?
Praxis Megachief, Praxis Selma, Kongsberg K-Chief 600/700, NORIS FlexView, Lyngsø Marine, ABB AC-700. We carry the relevant service tools and a baseline spares pack on every dispatch.
Can we attend at-sea remotely for alarm investigation?
If the vessel has a service VPN, yes — we read the alarm log, snapshot the HMI graphics and trace the I/O channel without boarding. Physical replacement still needs an ETO at the next port call.
How long does a typical alarm investigation take?
Three to five hours alongside for a standard alarm-flood investigation — log analysis, sensor calibration check, transmitter calibration, alarm rationalisation per EEMUA 191. Re-programming the IAS takes longer and is scheduled separately.
